These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JobsChance platform ("Platform"), operated by JobsChance Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.
1. Introduction
JobsChance is an online job portal that connects job seekers with employers across the United Kingdom. Our Platform allows job seekers to search for and apply to job opportunities, and enables employers to post job listings and manage applications.
By creating an account or using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. User Accounts
To access certain features of our Platform, you must register for an account. When creating your account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
- Notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
Job seeker accounts are activated immediately upon registration. Employer accounts may require administrative verification before full access is granted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
3. Employer Obligations
Employers using our Platform agree to the following obligations:
- All job listings must be genuine, lawful, and comply with UK employment law, including the Equality Act 2010.
- Job descriptions must accurately represent the role, requirements, compensation, and working conditions.
- Employers must not discriminate against candidates on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
- Employers must comply with all applicable UK legislation regarding recruitment practices, including right-to-work checks where applicable.
- Employers must not use the Platform to collect personal data for purposes unrelated to genuine recruitment.
4. Job Listings
All job listings submitted through our Platform are subject to the following conditions:
- Job postings are subject to review and approval by our administrative team before being published on the Platform.
- We reserve the right to reject, remove, or modify any job listing that we deem to be misleading, discriminatory, or in violation of our policies or applicable law.
- Job listings must include accurate information regarding the job title, location, salary range (where applicable), and employment type.
- Employers are solely responsible for the content of their job listings and any resulting employment relationships.
- JobsChance does not guarantee that any job listing will result in successful recruitment or employment.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- JobsChance acts solely as an intermediary platform connecting job seekers and employers. We do not guarantee employment outcomes or the suitability of any candidate or employer.
- We are not responsible for the conduct, actions, or omissions of any user of the Platform, whether job seeker or employer.
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
6. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our Platform and updating the "Last updated" date.
Your continued use of the Platform after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
